Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2018 Ornellaia

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot.

Aging: 18 months in barriques (70% new), plus a further final 12 months in bottle.
Description: Deep ruby red color with wonderful luster. The nose persuades with intense and fine sensations of red-fleshed fruit, with elegant spice and hints of mushroom and bark. Balanced, broad and round mouthfeel, with velvety tannins and an alcoholic structure that hints at a great capacity for aging. A generous Ornellaia in this vintage, persistent and mineral, with long finish played on fruity and spicy notes.
